Posco multi-industry industrial group, the world's 3rd largest corporation in steel, chemical, plastic manufacturing and global development projects, including seaport development, logistics and other projects in the public sector includes e-government and digital government.

Posco Group was founded in 1967, its initial business mainly focused on iron and steel production; then expanded into business, construction engineering, energy, information technology, agriculture and biology. In particular, in recent years, Posco Group has established a public projects department, a unit that implements projects serving public sectors in Korea in particular and other countries around the world in general. Posco currently has 77 representative offices in 45 countries and territories. In 1991, Posco established its first representative office in Hanoi. In 2006, Posco established Posco - Vietnam Company Limited in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

At the meeting, the leaders of Posco Group expressed their desire to strengthen the cooperative relationship with Vietnam in general and Long An province in particular in areas where Posco Group has advantages such as seaport system building following a modern, logistical direction, providing digital equipment, software and other smart solutions, serving the digital transformation process, modernizing the administrative system and building smart urban areas.

On behalf of the delegation, Vice Chairman of Long An province - Pham Tan Hoa thanked the respectful welcome that Posco Group gave to the delegation. He also introduced an overview of the potential, strengths and investment attraction policies of Long An province. He said that Posco Group's field of operation is one of the important areas that Long An is deploying to attract investment, to serve the process of digital transformation and digital economic development in the province.

Mr. Pham Tan Hoa hopes that in the coming time, Posco Group will continue to conduct research and learn about the investment and business environment as well as mechanisms and policies to attract investment in Vietnam in general and Long An province in particular, especially for industries that Long An province is in need of, thereby strengthening the cooperative relationship between the two sides, aiming for rapid and sustainable development.

On this occasion, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa also invited Posco Group leaders to visit, work and survey investment opportunities in Long An province, especially in the field of logistics and digital services in the public sector and e-government.
