Large-scale fields still face difficulties

  
Products of large-scale fields have not been fully purchased by enterprises under contracts

Winter-spring crop 2018-2019, enterprises registered 114 large-scale fields, with an area of more than 10,600 hectares (participated by 24 enterprises and more than 3,600 households). The harvested area is over 6,000 hectares, the dry capacity is estimated at 61 quintals per hectare, the output is over 37,100 tons. However, businesses purchased more than 5,200 hectare, the price is higher than the market 100 to 200 VND per kilogram.

Besides the area of large-scale fields facing difficulties in product consumption, the price of rice in the first quarter of 2019 is generally lower than the same period last year. Specifically, the price of rice IR 50404 is from 4.5 to 4.7 thousand VND per kilogram (down 0.7 to 0.9 thousand VND per kilogram), price of all-type rice OM is from 4.5 to 4.9 thousand VND per kilogram (down 1.0 - 1.1 thousand VND per kilogram), price of rice RVT is from 5.4 to 6.5 thousand VND per kilogram (down 0.5 - 1.2 thousand VND per kilogram). Even sticky rice price is only from 5.0 to 5.3 thousand VND per kilogram (down 0.9 to 1.0 thousand VND per kilogram).

Besides rice, in general, the consumption of some other agricultural products is relatively favorable. Specifically, seedless lemon costs from 17-18 thousand VND per kilogram, white flesh dragon fruit is from 7-15 thousand VND per kilogram. Meanwhile, the price of red flesh dragon fruit is from 35-40 thousand VND per kilogram (down 5-10 thousand VND per kilogram), the price of seeded lemon is from 12-15 thousand VND per kilogram (down 5.0 thousand VND per kilogram).

Facing difficulties in product consumption in large-scale fields, the Provincial People's Committee requested to inspect, urge and organize dialogues with enterprises and people to solve difficulties and problems during the implementation in quarter II/2019./.
