According to Vice Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa, Long An provincial leaders have focused on implementing the objectives and tasks of administrative reform to improve the efficiency of the State administrative apparatus and attract investment for socio-economic development recently.

In 2018, Long An Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) was ranked 3/63 provinces and cities, Public Administrative Reform (PAR) Index was ranked 7/63 provinces and cities in the whole country. However, Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI) was ranked 35/63 provinces and cities, falling compared to 2017.

The administrative reform of the province has always been strengthened and improved to serve people and businesses. Every year, the province issues administrative reform plan according to the new situation, associated with the responsibility of the head and the criteria of emulation and commendation of agencies. At the same time, the authorities have focused on inspections in order to timely correct shortcomings in administrative reform and inform residents and businesses of participating in monitoring administrative reform.

In addition, Long An regularly reviews, appreciates administrative procedures in a simplified manner in all fields as well as creates favorable conditions for people and organizations, especially land, investment and construction sectors.

Long An provincial leaders informed Quang Nam provincial leaders about the financial mechanism and organizational structure of the Provincial Public Administration Center and the local Public Administration Centers; coordination mechanism to receive, settle and return administrative results between centers and provincial departments, branches; application of information technology to implement the one-stop shop, inter-agency one-stop shop mechanisms; etc.
