Former Secretary of Provincial Party Committee - Le Thanh Tam, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Van Duoc; Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa and former provincial leaders, leaders of departments, branches and localities attended the ceremony.
In particular, the meeting had the full participation of athletes, coaches, foreign experts attending SEA Games 30 together with the athletes’ family members.
SEA Games 30 was held in the Philippines with the participation of 11 Southeast Asian countries. Vietnam excelled in the second position. Contributing to that overall achievement, 9 athletes of Long An province participated in the Vietnamese sports delegation attending SEA Games 30 including 3 volleyball players Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Dang Thi Kim Thanh, Nguyen Thi Kim Lien; athletics athlete Nguyen Hoai Van; 4 swimmers Do Ngoc Que Tran, Vo Thi My Tien, Tran Tan Trieu, Huynh Man Dat and women's football player Tran Thi Kim Thanh.

Participating in SEA Games30, the Long An athletes excellently won 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal. In which, Tran Tan Trieu won the gold medal at the outdoor swimming track, 10-kilometer distance with the record of 1 hour 53 minutes 31 seconds. This is the first gold medal of Long An athlete ever achieved in SEA Games arena; Tran Thi Kim Thanh and the women's football team won gold medal.
In addition, the Long An athletes participating in the SEA Games also contributed an additional bronze medal of athlete Nguyen Hoai Van in athletics for javelin with achievement of 70.88 meters; 3 girls Thanh Thuy, Kim Thanh and Kim Lien play a key role with the Vietnamese women's volleyball team won the silver medals.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa praised the outstanding achievements of Long An athletes at SEA Games 30.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa affirmed: “In order to achieve excellent results at the SEA Games, the athletes of Long An have tried their best and made incessantly effort. Behind each medal are each player’s sweat, effort, tears and the sacrifices, their devotion, dedication and responsibility of foreign coaches and experts in the national team as well as the support of Long An province and the athletes’ family”.

At the same time, he said that Long An high-achievement sports need to be more transformed and more active, especially in the selection process, training to improve sports achievement in order to continue to maintain and promote the achievements in the coming period. In particular, it is necessary to focus on effectively implementing the project of developing high-achievement sports in Long An province in the period of 2019-2026, with orientations to 2030.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Long An Province awarded certificates of merit to 6 players and 2 coaches with outstanding achievements at SEA Games 30. In addition, each athlete who won the gold medal was awarded VND 45 million, the silver medal-winning athlete was awarded VND 25 million each, the athlete who won bronze was awarded 20 million VND each, athlete attending SEA Games was awarded 5 million VND each.

In addition, Binh Dien Long An Fertilizer Joint Stock Company rewarded each athlete with a record of 10 million VND, Agribank Long An donated a house of a union home worth 50 million VND to the athlete Tran Thi Kim Thanh won gold medal with the women's football team; Localities whose athletes won SEA Games medal also awarded their own gifts for the athletes at the meeting.
