Long An: Clean water supply pipeline inaugurated with total capital of 180 billion VND

The project is invested by DNP - Long An Water Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company (DNP - LA in short), using clean water from Nhi Thanh Water Plant (Thu Thua district).

In the first phase of 2020, DNP - LA invested in the D630 water supply pipeline from Rach Chanh bridge (Ben Luc district) to Cho Tram intersection (Can Duoc district) and completed on April 30, 2020. In January 2021, DNP - LA continues to invest in the D400 water supply pipeline from Cho Tram intersection to Dong Thanh intersection, Can Giuoc district. Up to now, the company has completed the construction of the D355, D315 water supply pipeline from Dong Thanh intersection to Long An International Port.

The total length of the clean water supply pipeline from Ben Luc to Long An International Port is 36.9 kilometers, with an investment of 180 billion VND.

The clean water supply pipeline plays an important role, helping to bring clean water to more than 17,000 households in Long Phung, Phuoc Vinh Tay, Dong Thanh, Tan Tap and Phuoc Vinh Dong communes of Can Giuoc district.

Besides, the water supply pipeline ensures water for production in enterprises, industrial parks and clusters of Can Duoc and Can Giuoc districts. This is a premise to promote the growth of production industries, contribute to preserving and protecting groundwater resources in the whole area in accordance with the policy of the province in particular and of the Government in general.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Minh Lam emphasized that the project contributes to realizing strategic goals in developing a sustainable, stable and long-term clean water supply system; contribute to improving people's health with benefits from using clean water and promoting socio-economic development in 2 districts of Can Duoc and Can Giuoc. This is an event of great significance, marking the development of the water supply industry in Long An province.

In addition, he affirmed, DNP-LA's investment in building a clean water supply pipeline from Ben Luc to LA International Port and the inauguration shows the province's right policy in mobilizing social resources to develop the water supply system, well implement the Government's policy on calling for socialization in the field of clean water.

By investing in a large-scale clean water supply pipeline system, contributing to realizing the strategic goal of developing a sustainable clean water supply system, capable of supplying and meeting the stable and long-term water use demand, contributing to improving people's health in benefiting from the use of clean water and promoting socio-economic development of the province in a sustainable way.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Minh Lam recognized, appreciated and praised the efforts of the participating units in implementing and constructing the pipeline, completing on schedule, ensuring the quality of this important works. 

In order to promote the efficiency of the clean water supply pipeline, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee - Nguyen Minh Lam suggested that DNP - LA Company and Nhi Thanh Water Factory organize the management and safe operation of the plant, production and supply clean water, bring into full play its designed capacity, ensure clean water quality up to the standards of the Ministry of Health; minimize costs to get the most reasonable price.

People's Committees of Can Duoc and Can Giuoc districts review and receive clean water from the pipes invested by DNP – LA Company, inspecting unqualified wells to perform sealing work as directed by the Provincial People's Committee.

Provincial and local departments, agencies and sectors continue to accompany and create all favorable conditions for businesses to feel secure to invest in developing clean water sources to areas where clean water is still difficult; contribute to the local socio-economic development./.
