Long An focuses on fighting against smuggling, trade fraud
Long An Market Management Division under Trade and Industry Department has reported, in the first 10 months of this year, 1,324 smuggling and trade fraud cases were checked. Of these, the division handled 823 cases with a total fine of VND8.9 billion (equal to 163 percent compared with its yearly plan).
The Market Management forces prevent smuggling and trade fraud
In October alone, 84 smuggling and fraud cases were penalized and 46 cases were solved with state budget total collection of up to over VND1.3 billion.
Smuggled commodities included tobacco, wine, fruit, mini gas cylinders, sugar, motorbike accessories & parts, beverage, cosmetics, wood and timber…
Besides, the provincial Steering Committee 389 under People’s Committee also checked 14,536 cases and handled 3.166 with total collection of VND150,8 billion. Up to now, 1.76 million packs of illegally imported tobacco have been destroyed.
From now until the end of this year, local businesses have planned to prepare goods for the upcoming Tet holiday. Therefore, the Market Management forces must prevent smuggling and trade fraud to fertilizers, plant protection products, foods, veterinary, fisheries, foreign cigarettes, wine, two-wheeled electric vehicles, terrestrial television receiver./.
