Long An: Four more facilities are capable of testing to confirm SARS-CoV-2

Long An has just added four more facilities that are capable of testing to confirm the SARS-CoV-2 virus, including Long An Lung Hospital, Can Duoc District Medical Center, Ben Luc District Medical Center and Van An 1 Clinic.

Accordingly, after the process of testing capacity appraisal, the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City has officially granted a certificate of eligibility to confirm the SARS-CoV-2 virus by RT-PCR technique for the above 4 units. 

Units are responsible for implementing and maintaining to confirm the testing capacity for SARS-CoV-2 virus and are supervised by the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to Director of the Department of Health - Huynh Minh Phuc, up to now, the whole province of Long An has 10 facilities capable of testing to confirm the SARS-CoV-2 virus is Long An General Hospital, TWG Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Long An Center for Disease Control (CDC), Dong Thap Muoi Regional General Hospital, Hau Nghia Regional General Hospital, Can Giuoc Regional General Hospital, Medical Center Ben Luc District Medical Center, Can Duoc District Medical Center, Van An 1 Clinic and Long An Lung Hospital. Up to now, on average, Long An has tested a total of about 5,700 samples per day.

More units certified to be eligible for RT-PCR testing will contribute to the province's health sector to improve testing capacity to quickly and promptly detect SARS-CoV-2 infections in the locality, join hands with the whole province to repel the epidemic./.
