Within the framework of the program, the LEDD/France volunteer group was guided to visit Long An Museum, exchange with Long An University of Industrial Economics and La Vie Co. Ltd. in Tan An City; with Van Thanh Cooperative, Dragonfruit Wine Production Company Limited, Chau Thanh District People's Committee, etc.

LEDD/France volunteer group visits and learns about culture at Long An Museum

Long An Museum is an ancient architectural work from the 20th century, built according to French architecture, and has been used as a museum since 1985. The group was introduced to nearly 4,000 years of history and culture of Long An province. The museum displays many rare antiques of cultural and artistic significance, including many artifacts excavated from local cultural sites. This place preserves many artifacts related to Oc Eo culture in Long An such as god statues, stone working tools, terracotta and ceramic items, etc.

Next, the LEDD/France volunteer delegation came to exchange at Long An University of  Industrial Economics, with the participation of representatives of the school's leadership, teachers and about 50 students.

The delegation was introduced to the school's activities, the need for cooperation in foreign language teaching and cultural exchanges activities with the participation of volunteers. On this occasion, students had the opportunity to exchange foreign languages directly with native people.

On this occasion, the delegation visited La Vie Company Limited. La Vie Co. Ltd. officially became a member of the French Nestlé Water Group since 1992. The volunteer group of LEDD/France organization was introduced and guided to visit the production line of exporting bottled natural water at La Vie Long An factory.

The Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations also coordinated with Chau Thanh District People's Committee to guide LEDD/France volunteer delegation to visit agricultural production activities; introducing some typical agricultural products, local culture, especially the Lam Chay Festival; the need for development cooperation, for bringing some local agricultural products to the e-commerce platform in the near future.

LEDD/France volunteer group was guided to visit the Lam Chay Festival held at Tan Xuan communal house, Tam Vu town, Chau Thanh district. The festival is an opportunity for people to pray for good weather and good luck in the new year, and is also an opportunity to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed and contributed to their homeland and country. The indispensable items in the festival are floats and floating boats.

The mascot of this year festival is the majestic dragon symbol. An important and indispensable ritual in the festival that attracts a large number of people is the procession of Dai Tieu Dien (Mr. Tieu). In addition, a number of other activities such as participating in duck catching contests, folk games, lion dances, water fighting rituals, etc took place very bustlingly, attracting people of all ages.

Chairman of Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations - Nguyen Huu Ngoc informed that Vietnam and France have established diplomatic relations since 1973 and the two countries upgraded their strategic partnership in 2013. Friendly relationship and the good cooperation between Vietnam and France are becoming stronger and deeper, with comprehensive, rich and effective cooperation in all fields.

Long An province has the Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam - France Friendship Association, which are voluntary organizations, operating to contribute to strengthening and expanding peaceful relations, solidarity, friendship, and cooperation between Long An - Vietnam people and French people.
