Long An People's Council meet to approve 12 resolutions on socio-economic issues

Through discussion, close consideration, adherence to practice, compliance with legal regulations for submissions, draft resolutions, and verification reports, the Provincial People's Council highly unanimously passed the Resolution on amending and supplementing some contents of Article 1 of Resolution No. 01/2019/NQ-HDND dated 12/3/2019 of the Provincial People's Council stipulating the regime of resignation support due to the organizational arrangement of the communal apparatus; The resolution regulates the spending content and the rate of spending to elect deputies to the XV National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the term 2021 - 2026.

In addition, the Resolution on approving the list of projects to change the land use purpose from farming land to other purposes and the list of projects to acquire land in 2021; Resolution on approving updating the list of land use planning up to 2020 and land use plan for the final period (2016-2020); Resolution on allocation of capital plan in 2021 for urgent projects using additional funding to support localities according to Decision No. 118/QD-TTg dated December 27, 2020 of the Prime Minister.

In the field of transport, the Provincial People's Council passed 7 resolutions related to the adjustment of investment policy for the Provincial Road (PR) 823D project (the new North West opening axis connecting Long An - Ho Chi Minh City), PR 830E (from Expressway intersection to PR 830), PR 827E.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Nguyen Van Duoc emphasized that the resolutions passed by the Provincial People's Council are of great significance for attracting investment and speeding up implementing the traffic projects with driving force, connecting, promoting socio-economic development of the province in the new period; ensuring policies and salaries associated with the organizational structure of communes; at the same time, to ensure the necessary conditions to organize the upcoming election of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels.

Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc asked the Provincial People's Committee to urgently plan to concretize, organize the implementation of resolutions in accordance with regulations, promptly and effectively. The Standing Committee of the People's Council, the committees of the People's Council and each member of the Provincial People's Council strengthen supervision activities, closely coordinate with the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies in concretizing and implementing the resolutions; actively propagate and mobilize people to contribute to bringing the resolution to life.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Council agreed to dismiss Mr. Tran Van Dung - former Chief Inspector of the province (to receive new tasks) and Mr. Nguyen Van Bon - former Director of Department of Home Affairs (to retire); At the same time, Mr. Le Son Ha - Chief Inspector of the province and Mr. Vo Thanh Phong - Director of the Department of Home Affairs were elected as members of the Provincial People's Committee of session IX, term 2016-2021./.
