According to the report of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, in the 1st quarter, the socio-economic situation of the province took place in conditions of many difficulties and challenges, especially the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic. In that context, the Party Committee, authorities and people in the province have united and made efforts to achieve positive and comprehensive results in all fields.

Notably, the province has effectively controlled the epidemic and safely and flexibly adapted to the new normal; quickly recovered socio-economic activities; promptly implemented a strategy of vaccination against Covid-19; ensured social security policies.

Economic growth rate (GRDP) is estimated at 2.83 percent. All 3 sectors had positive growth, in which, the trade - service sector recovered quite well. Total state budget revenue in the first quarter was 6,785 billion VND, reaching 39.1 percent of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council, equaling 112.4 percent over the same period; budget balance revenue reached VND 3,393 billion, achieving 34 percent of the estimate, up 9.1 percent over the same period.

The building and rectification of the Party and political system continued to be strengthened, following the spirit of Conclusion No. 21-KL/TW of the Party Central Committee (term XIII). Foreign affairs, sovereignty and border security have been maintained.

Although the economy has recovered, it has not been as expected. Consumption of agricultural products has been still difficult. The Provincial Party Committee also discussed, analyzed and clarified the limitations and subjective reasons in the implementation of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee 2002 in the first quarter to take measures to correct and overcome in time; identify effective key tasks and solutions; and strive for the highest possible economic growth in 2022.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Nguyen Van Duoc asked localities to lead closely, proactively and effectively in socio-economic development in association with safe, flexible adaptation and effective control of the Covid-19 epidemic in the spirit of Resolution No.38/NQ-CP, dated March 17, 2022 of the Government. The localities also seriously learned from experience, urgently overcome limitations through the conclusions of the three inspection teams on the leadership and implementation of breakthrough programs according to the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress and the leadership and implementation of Resolution No.25-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee, etc.
