Safely adapting to the epidemic

Up to now, localities in the province have basically controlled the epidemic situation well, creating conditions for implementing the "dual goals" of both epidemic prevention and control and economic recovery. In Thanh Hoa district, the socio-economic situation in the first nine months of 2021 is basically stable, achieving positive results in all fields.

Ensuring social security 

With the efforts, internal solidarity, consensus of the people and the participation of the whole political system, in 9 months of 2021, the agricultural production situation in Binh Quoi commune, Chau Thanh district is stable. The locality closely monitors epidemics on livestock and poultry, preventing disease from occurring. The commune has completed three-fourths of the basic construction works.

The work of recruiting and calling citizens to enlist in the army has achieved the targets assigned by the district. Party building work is focused on effectively implementing, developing four-fifths new party members.

In order to improve production quality, Binh Quoi commune, Chau Thanh district continues to expand 40 hectares of hi-tech application

Mr. Nguyen Van Hai (Binh Cang hamlet, Binh Quoi commune) expressed: “The family moved from 4.5 hectares of dragon fruit to growing sweet gourd. Previously, the price of sweet gourd was always stable, 8,000 VND per kilo. But since the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic, traders have difficulty traveling, so the price is precarious, only selling 5,000 VND per kilo. I hope that the epidemic is well controlled so that people can safely produce and stabilize their lives."

Currently, the development of solutions for economic recovery, flexibly and safely adapting to the Covid-19 epidemic, gradually ensuring social security is identified by the locality as a key task.

Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Quoi Commune - Le Phong informed: "The commune determines that in order to recover the economy, the epidemic must be well controlled. Therefore, in addition to strictly controlling each household in each hamlet, people returning from epidemic areas, people coming from other localities, the commune continues to promote the spirit of each commune, ward and townlet is as a "fortress", each person is as a "soldier" in the prevention and control of epidemics.

The whole commune has 291 hectares of dragon fruit, of which 153.9 hectares of high-tech dragon fruit are linked to production in 10 cooperative groups with 137 participants. The area of dragon fruit certified to meet VietGAP standards is 49 hectares.

In order to improve the quality of product production, in 2021, the commune will expand to 40 hectares of hi-tech dragon fruit; maintaining the operation of Binh Quoi Agricultural Service Cooperative and existing cooperative groups; enhance the recovery of water hyacinth, clear the flow of canals and ditches in the field; well perform the work of preventing salinity and keeping fresh in order to ensure water sources for irrigation and production.

Actively implementing “double goals”

Along with the participation of localities, the Vietnam Women's Union in the province also implemented activities to fulfill the target of the plan 2021. In the first nine months of 2021, the Association effectively carried out the work of the Association and the women’s movement under the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic.
