Director of the Provincial Tax Department - Nguyen Van Thuy said that the Tax Department of Long An province was assigned an estimate of 13,080 billion VND by the Ministry of Finance, and the provincial People's Committee assigned the estimate of 13,197 billion VND by 2020. This is an extremely important political task to be achieved in order to ensure the provincial budget revenue, serving the expenditure on development investment as well as implementing the province's socio-economic development programs and goals.

With the efforts of the whole sector, the total domestic revenue as of December 23, 2020 reached 14,917 billion VND, reaching 114 percent of the central estimate, reaching 113 percent of the local estimate, as much as 107 percent over the same period in 2019. Estimated revenue by 2020 will reach 15,000 billion VND, reaching 114.7 percent of the central estimate, reaching 113.7 percent of the local estimate, as much as 102.1 percent over the same period in 2019.

Estimated in 2021, the Ministry of Finance assigned the total domestic revenue in Long An is 12,169.7 billion VND; Total balance revenue (excluding lottery and land use tax) is 9,149.7 billion VND. This figure is lower than 2020, because the year 2021 will also affect the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic on the social life and the business situation of enterprises in the country in general and in Long An province in paricular.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut praised the results achieved by the tax sector. Although the year 2020 has many difficulties and challenges in the state budget collection, the tax industry has successfully completed its assigned tasks up to the present. This shows that the tax industry has done a good job to advise the Steering Committee to urge state budget revenues.

In addition, the tax sector has prepared and implemented synchronously tasks and solutions for tax collection management; the efforts, overcoming difficulties and challenges in production and business activities, well implementing the tax obligations of the business community and taxpayers, has contributed to completing the state budget revenue in 2020 ever the estimate./.
