Ministry awards Excellent Emulation Flag to Long An Police

Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Can delivers a speech at the conference

That was announced at a conference reviewing last year operations and implementing this year missions of the provincial police. The conference was attended by chairman of Long An province People’s Committee Tran Van Can.

Last year, the provincial Police excellently fulfilled their missions to ensure political security and social order under the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, Long An Party Committee and People’s Committee and the tight coordination by agencies, organizations and residents.

The number of social order violations reduced. Long An police force brought out 90 percent cases, of these, all serious cases were made clear; conducted tens of thousands of patrols, uncovered 300 cases and arrested over 200 subjects.

The provincial Party Committee and Police Department Board of Directors instructed relevant sides to implement a specialized plan on anti-smuggling and banned goods transport in the border area in Duc Hue and Duc Hoa districts.

They uncovered 1,386 smuggling and banned goods transport cases and seized 2,247,940 illicit cigarette packets, 148 foreign wine bottles, 14.15 tons of sugar, some goods worth VND800 million, 96 automobiles, 883 motorbikes and 61 motor boats.

Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Can appreciated the police industry’s performance last year; required them to continue promoting the achievements, making efforts to work with relevant sides in movement “All people protecting national security,” and contributing  in conducting socio economic development missions and protecting the peaceful lives for residents./.
