According to the Department of Transport, following the results in the past terms, at the 11th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025, the province continues to prioritize all investment resources, completing the transport system, serving socio-economic development.
In this term, the province has identified investing in 3 key projects including completing the Tan An City Ring Road, Provincial Road 830E and Provincial Road 827E (access roads and 3 bridges on Provincial Road 827E).
Along with that, the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress also identified the Program to mobilize all resources to build a synchronous transport infrastructure system to serve industrial and urban development in the Key Economic Zone of the Province as 1 of 3 breakthrough programs.
Up to now, the Tan An City Ring Road project has been officially completed and put into operation. This is also a project that plays an important role in developing urban infrastructure, connecting traffic, and developing the socio-economic development of Tan An City and neighboring districts.
After nearly 1 year of operation, this route has contributed positively to reducing traffic pressure on National Highway 1, the National Highway 1 bypass, National Highway 62 through Tan An City and inner-city roads, minimizing traffic accidents and traffic congestion, especially during peak holidays and Tet.
The construction progress of the Provincial Road 830E project has many positive signs as the construction units mobilize human resources and materials to speed up the progress.
The bidding packages at the section from the Provincial Road 830 intersection to Nguyen Van Nham Street and from Nguyen Van Nham Street to National Highway 1 have all reached from 23% to more than 40% progress. As for the Provincial Road 827E project, at the end of July 2024, the Provincial People's Council approved the investment policy for the project of the access road to 3 bridges on Provincial Road 827E and the project of building 3 bridges on Provincial Road 827E.
Regarding the projects under the breakthrough program, there are currently 2 projects completed and put into use, including the National Highway 62 - Hung Vuong Street intersection (Tan An City); upgrading and expanding Provincial Road 824 to Kenh Ranh Bridge (Duc Hoa District); at the same time, the Luong Hoa - Binh Chanh road project has started construction and is speeding up the construction progress.
In addition, the province is implementing important national traffic projects such as Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 Project, Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 Project and many large regional traffic projects such as Provincial Road 823D, Tan Tap - Long Hau Road, Provincial Road 822B, Provincial Road 830C, etc.

According to statistics from the Department of Transport, in the period of 2021-2025, the Department was assigned to be the investor of 58 project categories with a total capital of more than 11,030 billion VND. Of which, in the period of 2021-2024, the capital assigned to build infrastructure reached more than 8,100 billion VND with 39 project categories.
In 2024 alone, the Department of Transport was assigned to be the investor of 26 project categories, including 1 important national project, 3 project categories under the key projects of the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress, 4 newly started project categories, 18 transitional project categories with a total capital plan of more than 2,790 billion VND.
According to the Department of Planning and Investment, to date, the province has 1,312 FDI projects with a total capital of more than 11.3 billion USD. Of which, 635 projects have come into operation, with a total investment capital of more than 4.2 billion USD. Since the beginning of 2024, the province has newly granted 65 FDI projects with an investment capital of more than 347 million USD.
Along with investing resources to build and complete the transport infrastructure system and solutions to improve the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI), in recent years, the province has been a bright spot of the country in attracting investment.
In addition, for domestic investment, since the beginning of 2024, the province has established more than 1,500 new enterprises with a total registered capital of more than 13,700 billion VND, an increase of more than 3,700 billion VND over the same period. To date, the whole province has more than 18,600 registered enterprises, with a total capital of 385,140 billion VND.

According to the Director of the Department of Transport - Dang Hoang Tuan, by mobilizing all resources to invest in the transport infrastructure system, up to now, the province's transport system has been basically completed, synchronized, and highly connected, contributing to creating momentum to promote socio-economic development, ensuring security and national defense. At the same time, the completion of key and breakthrough transport projects has also contributed to creating confidence for investors to explore investment cooperation opportunities, industrial and urban development in the province.

In particular, the typical example is the Provincial Road 824 project that helps to synchronously expand the cross-sectional scale of the entire route, ensuring convenient traffic connections from Provincial Road 825, Provincial Road 830 to Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh province, reducing traffic pressure on the existing route. Or the Tan Tap - Long Hau - National Highway 50 - Long An International Port route forms a traffic axis connecting Long An province - Ho Chi Minh City and between industrial parks in Can Giuoc district, developing logistics, serving the needs of transporting goods, attracting investment and promoting the efficiency of exploiting Long An port, gradually building the province into a logistics service center of the Mekong Delta region.
In particular, the project to upgrade and expand Provincial Road 830 through 4 key economic districts including Duc Hoa, Ben Luc, Can Duoc and Can Giuoc is of great significance, playing the role of a vital route, connecting economic centers, industrial parks and clusters of the province and neighboring areas with major seaports such as Long An International Port, Hiep Phuoc Port (Ho Chi Minh City), contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the whole region.
Mr. Dang Hoang Tuan affirmed that the effectiveness of the transport projects invested in recent years has shown very positive signals in socio-economic development, especially in attracting investment, opening up new development opportunities for the province.
In addition to completing transport projects as planned, the Department of Transport also recommended that in the coming years, the province will continue to prioritize resources to invest in the transport system, especially key transport projects with regional connectivity, contributing to exploiting the potential and strengths of the province in socio-economic development and attracting investment./.
