Nearly 30 billion VND for overhaul and expansion of 3.6 kilometers of National Highway 62

According to Deputy Director of Department of Transport - Nguyen Thanh Ngoan, the upgraded section is 3.6 kilometers long with a total budget of nearly 30 billion VND. Department of Transport is the investor.

As planned, the project will be implemented in 2 phases. Phase 1 is to repair, re-cover the existing asphalt surface and replace sewers D800 along both sides of the road. The investment capital is about 13 billion VND from the Central maintenance budget.

Phase 2 is to expand the road surface by 2 meters on each side (the existing road surface is 11 meters) with a total investment of about 15 billion VND from the provincial budget.

“At present, phase 1 has just started to install the sewers along the two sides. The phase is expected to be completed in 3 months. Construction unit is Transport Engineering Construction Joint Stock Company 674.

Meanwhile, phase 2 is preparing design documents and is expected to start in early 2020”, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ngoan said./.
