October 2021: Trade and service revenue increased sharply

Information from the Department of Industry and Trade of Long An, the trade and service revenue in October 2021 increased sharply compared to the previous month. Accordingly, the total retail sales of goods and services in October reached over 7,110 billion VND, up 74.3 percent over the previous month, but down 6.55 percent over the same period. In the 10 months of 2021, the total retail sales of goods and services reached 70,234 billion VND, down 4.05 percent over the same period, reaching 65.64 percent of the year plan. In which, retail sales of goods accounted for a large proportion, reaching 60,898 billion VND.

The reason why the total revenue of retail and services increased in October was that the province urgently implemented a safe and flexible adaptation plan to effectively control the Covid-19 epidemic in the area. Accordingly, the provincial government gradually reopened many commercial activities, services, restaurants, hotels, transportation, tourism, etc., after a long period of restriction and temporary suspension of operations to prevent and control the epidemic./.
