Implementing the direction of the Long An Provincial People's Committee, in late August and early September 2024, the Department of Planning and Investment and representatives of leaders of departments, branches and localities organized a delegation to visit enterprises operating in the area to proactively grasp difficulties, promptly remove obstacles, increase confidence and motivation for production and business in the year as well as orient strategies in the coming time.

According to the Director of Duong Vu Company Limited (Thu Thua District) - Nguyen Quang Hoa, the province has many advantages to develop production and business. The traffic infrastructure system is increasingly synchronized, contributing to promoting trade of goods and transportation. The company specializes in exporting agricultural products (rice). China, which accounts for about 80% of the company's main rice export market, is reducing consumption, so the company is facing difficulties and has to seek and expand the market to other countries. The company hopes that the province and relevant agencies will support the connection in terms of export markets. In addition, the company is currently planning to expand its production scale and needs the province's support in terms of mechanisms and policies, especially guidance on procedures related to land issues.

"The good thing is that in addition to the attention and support of leaders at all levels, recently, representatives of leaders of departments and branches have visited, learned about, and grasped the production and business situation of the company. The difficulties and problems have been shared, acknowledged and answered by the provincial leaders. Thereby helping the company have a more reasonable and effective production and business orientation" - Mr. Nguyen Quang Hoa said.

Operating in Long Hau Industrial Park (Can Giuoc district) since 2009, the difficulties and obstacles of Simone Vietnam Handbag Co., Ltd. (100% foreign capital) have been promptly grasped and resolved by the local authorities, so production can be assured.

According to Mr. Matt Kim - representative of the Company, the unit specializes in exporting handbags with 8-10 million items per year. In the first months of 2024, the production and business situation was difficult due to the impact of the world situation. Currently, the markets of other countries have recovered, goods and orders are basically stable. The Company is very grateful for the timely attention of local leaders when organizing a delegation to visit, encourage and proactively grasp the difficulties to find solutions.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment - Tran Van Tuoi, recently, the Department of Planning and Investment together with departments, branches and localities visited a number of enterprises operating in the districts of Can Giuoc, Duc Hoa, Thu Thua, Can Duoc, etc to learn about difficulties and problems and find solutions. The Department fully recorded the opinions and recommendations to synthesize, report and propose to the Provincial People's Committee to direct departments, branches and localities to promptly resolve as well as respond to enterprises. In addition, the Department also acknowledged the difficulties and encouraged enterprises to overcome them.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, in order to promote industrial production activities in the area, recently, the Department has reviewed administrative procedures to reduce implementation time, contributing to improving the business environment, enhancing competitiveness, promptly and fully resolving difficulties and problems of enterprises.

At the same time, the Department strengthens propaganda and dissemination of legal knowledge on enterprise development, international economic integration, trade agreements, publicizes administrative procedures, and industry planning to help enterprises and people access, clearly demonstrating openness and transparency.

In addition, the Department focuses on implementing many trade promotion programs oriented towards domestic consumption by coordinating with departments, branches, and localities to organize conferences connecting supply and demand for each specific product to have stable output for the province's key agricultural products. The Department will review and evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of trade promotion programs to bring the best efficiency, help enterprises reach customers and promote products, expand consumption markets, etc.

Regularly organize dialogues

With the goal of becoming an industrialized province by 2030, one of the industrial, urban and service centers of the region and the whole country, Long An promotes attracting strategic investors, large-scale projects, modern technology, high added value, especially strategic investors. Accompanying enterprises, considering "the difficulties of enterprises as the difficulties of the province" as the consistent message of the province. Provincial leaders always pay attention to eedback from enterprises with a receptive spirit, regularly organizing dialogue conferences to further improve capacity and management system, and better support the needs of enterprises.

The province fully applies investment incentive policies in accordance with regulations, implements well the province's support mechanisms and policies and continues to invest in completing the infrastructure - technical system to ensure necessary conditions and be ready to receive investment projects such as clean industrial land fund; support to solve labor issues; administrative reform and legal support related to investment procedures and business operations; transparent procedures and planning documents, ensuring an open, competitive, safe and effective investment environment.

In particular, in 2024, the Provincial People's Committee organized many dialogue sessions, with decentralization between the province and the district to promptly grasp the difficulties and problems of enterprises to proactively have effective solutions.

The contributions of enterprises help the province to better perform its tasks. Particularly since May 2024, the province has organized 4 direct dialogue conferences between provincial leaders and enterprises to promptly grasp difficulties, resolve and listen to the solutions proposed by enterprises to jointly move towards the goal of sustainable development.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut informed: The viewpoint of accompanying enterprises is not just empty words but concrete actions. Long An's PCI in 2023 is ranked 2nd in the country, increased 8 places compared to 2022. The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to be the focal agency of the province to receive information, proposals, and recommendations from businesses, thereby monitoring, urging, promptly synthesizing, reporting to the Provincial People's Committee and providing feedback to businesses on the results so that they can truly feel secure when investing in the locality.

The province requests relevant departments, branches, and localities to actively coordinate with businesses to remove obstacles, resolve them thoroughly, and create all favorable conditions for businesses to feel secure in their production and business activities; hoping that the business community will share the difficulties of the province, continue to accompany the province in implementing socio-economic development tasks and goals to ensure feasibility and effectiveness.
