Speed up compensation and resettlement work for Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway section through Tay Ninh

Provincial leaders conduct field survey of Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway project

According to Decision No. 577 dated March 13, 2025 of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province, Component Project 4 has a total investment of more than 1,503.9 billion VND. Of which, compensation, support and resettlement costs are 1,367.5 billion VND, project management, consulting and other costs are 18.3 billion VND, the remaining 118.2 billion VND is for contingency costs.

According to the Tay Ninh Province Construction Investment Project Management Board, the compensation, support and resettlement plan has been approved by localities with a total budget of more than 3,056 billion VND, involving 2,250 households, 17 organizations, and about 230 resettlement cases.

The province has advanced 2,263 billion VND, including 1,343/1,504 billion VND in capital for 2025 and 920 billion VND from the Land Development Fund; there is still a shortage of about 793.4 billion VND compared to the approved plan. By early September 2025, 2,185.45 billion VND had been paid to 1,560/2,250 households, reaching 71.5% of the total approved plan.

The resettlement arrangement work is being urgently deployed. In An Tinh ward and Gia Loc ward, 81 households will be arranged to the 10.7ha resettlement area (402 plots) in Bung Binh hamlet, Hung Thuan commune. Currently, the resettlement area is being constructed by the Project Management Board of Investment and Construction of Area 3, including site leveling, construction of rainwater drainage, wastewater drainage, domestic water supply and traffic roads. The construction period is 270 days, from February 26th , 2025 to November 22nd , 2025.

In Go Dau ward and Phuoc Thanh commune, 135 households will be relocated to Rach Son resettlement area (169 plots) which has been completed. In Ben Cau commune, 14 households will move to Dia Xu resettlement area (244 plots), of which 97 plots have been relocated, the remaining 147 plots are for the project.

After the groundbreaking ceremony for the mine clearance and technical infrastructure relocation package on August 19, 2025, localities have accelerated the progress of site handover. Gia Loc Ward handed over 5.51/7.34km of the main route; 540/620m of branch 787B; 935/970m of Gia Tan branch, 762.5/920m of Loc Khe branch and 1.26/1.4km of Ho Chi Minh road branch.

An Tinh Ward handed over 4/4.42km of the main route; 824/884m of Tinh Phong branch, 1/1.087km of Huong Lo 2 branch and about 1.6/1.9km of provincial road 787B intersection.

Go Dau Ward and Phuoc Thanh Commune have handed over more than 4.9/12.6km of land with 512/964 households in agreement.

Ben Cau Commune has handed over 2.1/2.4km, the remaining 0.3km at the end of the route bordering the Trans-Asia Highway has not been unified.

With the strong direction of the Government, the close coordination between Tay Ninh province and Ho Chi Minh City and the consensus of the people, the work of compensation, site clearance and resettlement is being promoted. This is an important premise for the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway project to be implemented synchronously soon, creating a new development momentum for the Southeast region and the Tay Ninh border area./.
