Part 3: Unlocking trade in emerging urban hubs
Amid the vibrant pace of life and robust economic development following the merger of commune-level administrative units, the wards of Trang Bang, Go Dau, An Tinh, and Gia Loc continue to uphold their rich historical and cultural traditions — serving both as a source of pride and a driving force in this new era of rise.
Trang Bang ward – The vibrant rhythm of a new urban centre
Trang Bang ward emerged from the merger of two tradition-rich units: An Hòa Ward and the former Trang Bang ward. Spanning 36.97 km² with a population of 53,532, the area boasts a fresh urban identity, poised for expansive development.
Comprehensive investment in infrastructure, a modern transport network, and quality public services not only streamlines administrative operations but also creates powerful momentum for socio-economic activities. A series of projects in trade, services, and light industry are underway, positioning Trang Bang as a magnet for both domestic and foreign investors.
Culturally, Trang Bang ward takes pride in preserving the deep imprints of the past through ancient architecture, historical relics, and distinctive traditional festivals, most notably the Ky Yen Festival held at village communal houses. The harmonious blend of time-honoured features and modern influences paints a unique cultural landscape that appeals not only to local residents but also to visitors drawn to rediscover their roots. Here, tradition meets innovation, sparking hope for a prosperous and sustainable future.
Strategically located and driven by progressive policies, Trang Bang’s development potential is being awakened. Its comprehensive transformation fosters a favourable business environment, encourages diversified economic sectors, and enhances quality of life. More than an administrative hub, Trang Bang is emerging as the economic heart of southern Tay Ninh.
An Tinh ward - Revolutionary land with a new vision
An Tinh ward was established through the merger of An Tinh and Loc Hung, forming a large administrative area spanning 78.44 km² with a population of approximately 61,212. Strategically located between Trang Bang town and the former Go Dau district, An Tinh bears the imprint of a heroic past and the ambition for modern development, positioning itself as a promising foundation for pioneering urban initiatives.
Its geographic location renders An Tịnh a vital “bridge”, intersecting key arterial roads and facilitating both trade and administrative connectivity. Infrastructure development is well-planned, with investments in roads, schools, hospitals, commercial centres, and green spaces.
The name "An Tinh" evokes peace, but also stands as a reminder of the area’s revolutionary past—the proud achievements of the Trang Bang armed forces exemplifying an unyielding spirit and patriotism. Economically, An Tịnh is poised for remarkable growth, with planned investments in commercial hubs and light industrial zones forming new economic pillars, generating employment and raising living standards. The coordinated development of infrastructure promises to transform the area into a hub of comprehensive growth, helping to elevate Tây Ninh’s position on the map of advanced urban centres in the region.
Go Dau ward – A dynamic gateway for southern trade
Go Dau ward is transitioning from a traditional district centre to a modern urban model. It was established by merging Gia Binh ward, Go Dau township, and Thanh Phuoc commune. Post-merger, Go Dau covers 43.09 km² with a population of 66,340. The administrative centre is based in the former Go Dau township, optimally leveraging its central location to boost connectivity, particularly via vital routes linking Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast region. Public infrastructure is being systematically invested in—from roads to schools, hospitals, and cultural centres—laying a solid foundation for socio-economic development.
Beyond its economic functions, Go Dau retains deep cultural roots. Its name reflects the locality’s long-standing formation and growth. The name Go Dau is a recognition of the long-standing formation and development process of the locality.
Traditional festivals and heritage sites are preserved alongside urban projects, shaping a distinctive identity and enriching community life.
Go Dau Ward’s geographical location offers a significant competitive advantage. Situated in the key southern region of the province, it serves as a vital transport hub, linking economic centres such as Trang Bang and Gia Loc. This strategic connectivity facilitates the flow of goods and boosts trade, unlocking strong potential to attract investment in light industry, services, and commerce, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for residents.
Today’s Go Dau is a testament to the region’s aspirations for renewal and integration, set to become an important "fulcrum" for the sustainable development of Tay Ninh.
Gia Loc ward – A new urban base rooted in heritage
Gia Loc ward was created from the merger of two heritage-rich units: Gia Loc ward (from Trang Bang township) and Phuoc Dong commune (from Go Dau district). Following the reorganisation, the ward now spans 50.26 km² with a population of around 37,354. Its administrative headquarters is located in the former Phuoc Dong commune—an area with strategic potential for future urban development.
Situated at the crossroads of southern Tay Ninh’s administrative system, Gia Loc leverages its “prime” location to forge seamless regional links. Major roadways reduce travel distances, promote trade, and pave the way for large-scale projects soon to be launched.
Key transport routes reduce travel time, enhance trade connectivity, and lay the groundwork for the rollout of major development projects.
Gia Loc ward holds strong economic potential and is being positioned as a dynamic centre for urban development. The integration of its traditional economic base with modern light industry, services, and commerce promises to foster a vibrant and thriving business environment.
Planned infrastructure investments—from roads to commercial centres, schools, and hospitals—aim to attract capital and drive sustainable development.
Beyond its economic focus, Gia Loc ward places strong emphasis on preserving and promoting cultural and historical values. Retaining the name 'Gia Loc' reflects a deep respect for the past and stands as a symbol of community pride.
Traditional festivals, cultural activities, and historical relics help shape a unique local identity and enrich the spiritual life of the community.
