According to representatives of the delegation, the green growth project will focus on promoting sustainable, environmentally friendly economic development and bringing development to society with the goal of building a green economy, net zero emissions, moving towards economic restructuring; developing green projects with the purpose of carbon neutral production, contributing to the carbon neutrality goal.

Through discussion, Long An province has a lot of potential in developing projects on green growth, renewable energy and climate change. At the same time, the delegation hopes to have the opportunity to cooperate with the province in the near future on carbon assessment and inventory; developing an emissions reduction strategy; initiate green projects for carbon credits; providing carbon credit certification and authentication; connecting carbon credit trading units; etc.

It is known that  Australia is one of the province's important strategic cooperation countries with 11 projects, total capital of over 67.6 million USD, focusing mainly on the garment industry, processing industry, manufacturing industrial and agricultural products; real estate, residential areas, freight agency services, warehousing, storage and factory rental, etc.

Currently, Long An province is focusing on prioritizing attracting investment in key areas such as: urban; services; logistics; agriculture; medical; traveling; infrastructure of industrial zones and clusters; environment, focusing on high technology application, climate change adaptation, OCOP product production, semiconductor industry, etc.

Speaking at the working session, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee - Huynh Van Son highly appreciated the capacity and experience of the project implementation team. He identified green growth as an inevitable trend for development and environmental protection; The province is currently very interested and is developing a Resolution to serve as a basis for implementation; and hoping that the consulting unit will support the province in evaluating and implementing towards green, clean and sustainable development./.
