The key project of the Resolution of 11th Provincial Party Congress includes the ring road of Tan An city and the bridge over the Vam Co Tay river. The project is divided into 4 project site clearance components, with a total of 1,678 affected households. Currently, the city has paid compensation and support nearly 93% household to ensure the construction site.

The construction of Tan An City Ring Road of and the bridge over Vam Co Tay River started in 2016 (term of 2015-2020) and has passed 2 terms. In the process of implementation, sometimes there are lack of consistency in propaganda and advocacy. The project has faced many difficulties in site clearance and investment capital as well as being suspended due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic. The distrainting of land and properties on land; pricing work; the announcement of the draft plan on compensation and support to the people have not meet the progress compared to the requirements. The construction of resettlement areas is still slow compared to the ground clearance work, etc.

At the inspection, the delegates clarified the difficulties and problems as well as discussed solutions to resolve to open the whole route by the end of 2023.

Secretary of Tan An City Party Committee - Le Cong Dinh said that in the past time, the Standing Board of the City Party Committee have promptly directed to solve difficulties and problems in site clearance. The quality and performance of the Compensation, Support and Resettlement Council, the organization in charge of distraint and compensation have been gradually improved, basically meeting the set requirements,etc.

The new look on Tan An City Ring Road

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Minh Lam informed that the construction of Tan An City Ring Road and the bridge over the Vam Co Tay River is a meaningful project, creating a driving force for the development of Tan An City as well as the Long An province. He highly appreciated the preparation work, the determination to carry out the project of the whole political system in compensation and site clearance worrks although facing many difficulties.

He requested that in the coming time, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee should continue to accelerate the progress of compensation for the remaining households in the project area; coordinate with relevant units to focus the progress on the resettlement area in Binh Tam commune to stabilize people's lives,etc./.
