Vietnam Rice Festival 2018 wraps up

The third Vietnam Rice Festival 2018 wrapped up on December 24 after seven days with plentiful activities in the Mekong Delta province of Long An, attracting over 100,000 visitors.

Mr. Pham Minh Hung made a statement at the festival closing ceremony

Deputy head of the event organization board Pham Minh Hung, who is member of the standing board of Vietnam Farmers Association Central Committee, said that the event affirmed the importance of Vietnam’s agriculture in general and rice production in particular.

During the festival, many domestic and foreign businesses met to negotiate investment in rice production and farmers had chances to learn about modern rice production models bringing high productivity.

The third Vietnam Rice Festival takes place from December 18-24

The festival gathers over 1,100 stalls of 612 businesses, localities and organizations with many expo activities and seminars.

Bedsides introducing economic, cultural and social achievements of Long An and other provinces in the Mekong Delta as well as the country’s agricultural development achievements after 30 years of reform, the organization board focused on advertising potentials and strengths of rice production and trading firms who have made positive contributions to the sustainable development of Vietnam’s agriculture amid current integration context.
