21st Session of Long An People's Council passes 27 resolutions on economy-society

After one and a half serious, democratical, effective and continuously renovating working days, the Provincial People's Council has completed the entire agenda of the 21st session (mid-2020 regular meeting). The provincial People's Council highly agreed to approve 27 important resolutions on the proposed investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025 and year 2021; approve the planning of construction subdivision of an industrial zone and housing development program.

Besides, the provincial People's Council also advocated changing the purpose of land use, production forests and land acquisition; regulate areas not allowed to feed poultry or animals and regulate areas to raise salangane in the province; decide on street names, neighborhoods and issues related to fees, charges, tuition rates, support for trafficked victims, salary and policies for grassroots-level non-specialized officials, etc.

The key tasks in the coming time proposed by the provincial People's Committee are focused on discussing and recommending in the group and on the hall by delegates of the provincial People's Council. Since then, many practical and feasible solutions have been proposed, aimed at continuing the recovery of production and business, promoting economic development, trade and services, ensuring social security, employment and people's lives.

At this session, the provincial People's Council did not conduct direct questions in the hall as expected to spend time on discussing the socio-economic development plan. However, delegates of the People's Council still actively carried out the questions in writing to the Provincial People's Committee and heads of specialized agencies on issues that voters and people are interested in.

Regarding personnel work, the People's Council agreed to resign as a delegate to the IXth Provincial People's Council, term 2016-2021 for Mr. Nguyen Van Duc due to the changing working position; At the same time, Mr. Tran Van Dung - Provincial Chief Inspector and Ms. Phan Thi My Dung - Director of Department of Justice were voted the titles of Members of Provincial People's Committee for the term 2016-2020.
