3rd rice festival to open in Long An on Dec 18
The 3rd Vietnam Rice Festival and the ceremony to announce a logo for Vietnamese rice will be kicked off from December 18 to 24 in the Mekong Delta province of Long An’s Tan An City.

This year’s festival has the theme of “Agriculture, farmers, sustainable rural development; Vietnamese give priority to using Vietnamese products”.
The Vietnam Farmers Union’s central committee Pham Minh Hung said the festival is one of activities to supply famers trade promotion solutions in agricultural field and rural development. It will be chance to support efficiently local enterprises, farmers and help Vietnam rice industry, boost its competitiveness in domestic and global markets.
It will open many exchange opportunities between managers, enterprises, scientists and farmers to approach the world’s new technologies, contributing to enhance the living condition of people in rural and urban areas.
Many sideline activities will be launched during a week event such as exhibition fair, conference to review the market stabilization program between cities, provinces in Mekong and HCMC in 2018” and other contests…
The organizers said around 400 enterprises have registered to take park in the festival showcasing 1,200 booths./.
