Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Journalists Association, Director of Long An Radio and Television Station - Le Hong Phuoc said that after 1 year of launching, the Organizing Committee has received 196 works from 4 types of journalism and press photos from 107 participating authors who are members, reporters, journalists, and collaborators inside and outside the province. All entries are eligible, including: 26 print works, 35 electronic newspaper works, 23 radio works, 64 television works and 48 journalistic photo works. Compared to 2023, the number of entries this year increased by nearly 40%, with the biggest increase being television works with more than 50%.

The journalistic works submitted for this year's contest are diverse and rich with many contents that fully and comprehensively reflect the fields of economics, culture - society, security - defense, foreign affairs, and building the Party, building the political system, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style. The jury selected 51/196 best journalistic works to award first, second, third and encouragement prizes for each type of journalism, thereby, encouraging the creative labor emulation movement of the team of journalists; discovering and fostering talented reporters and journalists for the province's journalism.
