903,000 electronic stamps for agricultural product traceability supported

The Department of Crop Production, Plant Protection and Agricultural Product Quality Management of Long An province has just organized to present 903,000 electronic traceability stamps to 7 enterprises, cooperatives and agricultural production facilities. They are Phuoc Hoa Safe Vegetable Cooperative, Thuan Giau Agriculture - Trade - Service Cooperative (Can Duoc district), Phuoc Thinh Agriculture - Production - Trade - Service Cooperative, Mekong Production - Trade - Services - Import and Export Cooperative (Can Giuoc district), Mechanical Construction and Food Joint Stock Company (Tan An city), Thanh Nhan Slaughter Establishment (Tan Tru district) and Minh Tam Rice Co., Ltd., - Long An branch (Thu Thua district).

Accordingly, each unit is supported with 129,000 electronic stamps. These units have been established and recognized as a chain of food safety links from production to consumption by the department, with the main products and foods of the province such as vegetables, rice, beef and other products from cow.

In addition to giving electronic stamps, the department also organizes training on VNPT check service, solutions to verify the origin of goods for businesses, cooperatives and production facilities to understand and apply them to production practices.

Director of the Department of Crop Production, Plant Protection and Agricultural Product Quality Management - Nguyen Van Cuong informed that the province focused on supporting agricultural, forestry and aquatic production and business establishments in the areas for setting up and applying advanced quality management programs. In particular, the traceability of some products is implementated through QR stamps. This is considered a positive signal contributing to improving the efficiency of the quality management of agricultural products of the province. Thereby, it helps consumers capture information about the product, the manufacturing process, preliminary processing, processing and trading, creating consumer confidence. Once the manufacturer uses the QR stamp, it will provide sufficient information and records of the production process of the product, serving the management of state agencies./.
