To successfully complete the targets set out by the Resolution of the District Party Committee, the Provincial Party Secretary requested all levels of Party Committees, organizations, and agencies from districts to grassroots to proactively carry out assigned tasks and focus more, especially on tasks that achieve low results or are behind schedule compared to plan, associated with overcoming existing problems and limitations.

Secretary of the District Party Committee - Nguyen Dang Minh Xuan said, with the determination to accelerate to "get to the finish line early" in implementing the Resolution of the Party Congress at all levels, term 2020 - 2025, the implementation of the District Party Committee Resolution of the year 2024 in the first 6 months of the year has many advantages, but also many difficulties and challenges. However, with the active focus of all levels and sectors in the district, the proposed tasks have been implemented and achieved many important results. Most industries and fields tend to prosper compared to the first months of the year. The gross regional domestic product (GRDP) of the entire district by June 2024 increased by 9.72% over the same period, the highest increase since the beginning of the term.

In the field of agriculture, crops are maintained, especially the Agricultural Development Program applying high technology on lemon trees are focused on. To date, the district has 426 hectares of high-tech lemon production, reaching 81.9% of the plan (426/520 hectares). The building new rural communes, enhanced new rural areas and building Ben Luc town to meet civilized urban standards are focused and directed according to the 2024 plan, to complete in 2025. Currently, on average, communes reach 19/19 new rural criteria, towns reach 5/9 civilized urban criteria, and new rural districts reach 7/9 criteria.

Since the beginning of the year, the district has had 110 newly registered domestic enterprises, with registered capital of 1,230 billion VND and 3 foreign investment enterprises with registered capital of 44 million USD (accounting for about 20.9 % of projects and 32.8% of investment capital in the whole province).

Basic construction is carried out strictly and in accordance with regulations. The district is proactively building a list of projects in 2025, and a list of medium-term projects for the period 2026-2030 associated with the key project proposals of the District Congress Resolution, term 2025-2030.

Compensation and site clearance work is paid attention to, inspected, directed, and urged to promote propaganda, advocacy, resolve problems and implement compulsory land recovery procedures for eligible cases; strengthen coordination with the province to speed up the implementation of resettlement areas; identify a list of key investment projects to focus on.

Since the beginning of the year, the district has paid compensation, support and resettlement for 17 projects for 394 affected cases with a total cost of 1,878 billion VND, total area of ​​195.89 hectares, reaching 72.55 % of the district's plan (270 hectares) and 52.9% of the province's assigned target (370 hectares). Of which, provincial road 830E, the project to create a clean land fund for resettlement, the embankment projects, Tandoland Industrial Park and Prodezi Industrial Park have had quite good compensation payment results. The district is proactively implementing site clearance procedures to expand provincial road 830C in the fourth quarter of 2024.

The breakthrough program on Ben Luc urban development and management of the Resolution of the 12th District Party Congress is being urged to implement. In particular, the district has focused on reviewing and adjusting construction, urban and rural planning and implementing it in accordance with provincial and district plans. Regarding the general planning of Ben Luc urban area until 2045 at a scale of 1/10,000, the district is coordinating with the Department of Construction to complete the planning task dossier according to comments of ministries, branches and members of the Appraisal Council, submit to the province for signature to send back to ministries and branches for comments and submit to the Prime Minister for approval.
