Chairman of Long An People's Committee - Tran Van Can has dialogue with businesses

Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Long An provincial People's Committee - Tran Van Can stresses that the provincial leaders’ general viewpoint in the process of solving difficulties and obstacles of enterprises is according to the law, fair and harmony with benefits among relevant parties.

At the dialogue, the businesses frankly raised obstacles in the process of investment, production and business and then proposed their ideas to provincial leaders.

Sharing at the dialogue, 3 businesses - Chingluh Vietnam Shoes Co., Ltd. (in Thuan Dao Industrial Park, Ben Luc district), Viet Cuong Canned Food Co., Ltd. (in Nhut Chanh communes, Ben Luc district) and Joint Stock Company Kim Tin Group's part (in Kien Thanh industrial cluster, Long Cang commune, Can Duoc district) have common difficulties in human resources. Accordingly, these 3 enterprises are in shortage of human resources, including unskilled workers and high-quality human resources. Enterprises want vocational centers and vocational schools in the province to link training goals with enterprises' needs, support job promotion for workers.

About this issue, Deputy Director of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs (DLISA) - Hoa Thanh Nien said that the DLISA directed the Long An Job Service Center to implement many measures to bring enterprises’ recruitment information to workers over the past time such as organizing the periodic job transaction twice a month, providing direct advice to employees who are receiving unemployment benefits, broadcasting information on recruitment at communes, districts, cities in the province, and so on. However, the results are still limited, they fail to meet the enterprises’ labor demand and it is likely that the enterprises’ recruitment will continue to be difficult in the coming years.

With the enterprises’ reflection, the investors, enterprises and functional agencies will continue to support such as exchanging information on registration of labor demand plan in the coming time. Besides, enterprises themselves need to take the initiative in policies of salary, bonus and other welfare policy to recruit and retain long-term employees.

The branch of Kim Tin Group Joint Stock Company also reflects that the enterprise is using the water source of Hoang Long Water Supply Station with water quality that does not meet the water and production norms (metal indicators heavy as iron, chlorine ... usually higher than required), the station's water supply is unstable. Therefore, enterprises must invest in a costly processing system. Enterprises hope to soon receive water sources meeting the requirements of water supply stations in Thu Thua district on industrial clusters and incentives for businesses to connect water infrastructure systems when merging into the internal system of the company.

For this issue, Deputy Director of Construction Department - Dang Thi Thuy Ha shared that the Department of Construction presently consulted and was approved by the provincial People's Committee to adjust the scope of water supply zoning of the provincial water supply planning. In particular, water supply in the area of Kim Tin Company is investing in the water supply zone of Long An Water Supply and Sewerage Joint Stock Company.

Under the approved plan, the Nhi Thanh Water Plant Project (Bao Dinh Water Plant) has a capacity of 60,000 cubic meters per day. Currently, DNP-Long An Water Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company has deployed the first phase of the project with a capacity of 30,000 cubic meters per day, the plant has been put into operation, the clean water transmission pipeline has been built from water factory to Nguyen Trung Truc street, Ben Luc town and will connect to the network of Long An Water Supply and Sewerage Joint Stock Company in Ben Luc district. After the connection, Long An Water Supply and Sewerage Joint Stock Company will expand the transmission and distribution network, basically meeting the water supply needs in districts of Thu Thua, Ben Luc, Can Duoc, etc.

In the coming time, the Department of Construction will continue to work with Long An Water Supply and Sewerage Joint Stock Company to urge the implementation of water supply zoning to ensure the progress and orientation of the plan to meet the demand setting on the current water source, including the area where the company is operating.

In addition, enterprises employing a large number of workers, especially migrant workers, share difficulties in arranging accommodation for workers. Therefore, enterprises expect to receive preferential policies in planning investment in social houses for workers; rent social houses for workers in social housing projects near businesses.

Other issues were also reflected by the enterprises at the conference. Each issue reflected by the enterprise was directly answered by the leaders of the provincial People's Committee, departments, branches and localities as well as given specific solutions. This makes the representative of business leaders satisfied.

Speaking at the end of the meeting and dialogue, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee - Tran Van Can confirmed the enterprise that they need to contact directly departments, localities to soon be supported and resolved when they encountered problems in the process of investment, production and business.

"Long An is one of the top provinces in the Mekong Delta region in terms of tax revenue. This result is the companion of the business community in the province. Therefore, the provincial leaders always consider that the enterprises’ difficulties are common difficulties of the province. The provincial leaders’ general viewpoint in the process of solving difficulties and problems of enterprises is according to law, fair and harmony with interests among related parties.
