Cuban Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City Indira Lopez Arguelles on December 18 paid a courtesy visit to leaders of the Mekong delta province of Long An.

Ms.Indira Lopez Arguelles thanked for the warm reception by leaders of the province and informed them of Cuba’s situation in socio-economic development in recent years. Thanks to the abundant human resources with experience in the field of economics and health, Cuba is willing to promote economic development and renew agreements in the cooperation between Cuba and Vietnam.
Cuba also wants to cooperate with Long An and calls for assistance and investment promotion from the province.
At present, the strength of Long An is industrial development and hi-tech agricultural application. Therefore, the province would like to cooperate and exchange experience in many fields with other countries.
The provincial leaders hoped that Ms.Indira Lopez Arguelles would be the bridge to support businesses in the province and Cuban partners to cooperate effectively in the future./.
