Deputy minister of transport works with Long An

Deputy minister of transport Nguyen Nhat and a high-ranking delegation worked with the Long An province on March 16.

At the meeting

Deputy chairman of Long An people’s committee Pham Van Canh and departments of transport, construction received the delegation.

At the meeting, director of Long An department of construction Nguyen Van Hoc reported the delegates about construction projects, traffic works which have been completing in the province as well as shared the department’s difficulties in previous time.

Mr.Hoc suggested the ministry of transport to allow the department in implementing the management in the ports, domestic waterway stations that controlled by the central government adding that the province needs to build one more bridge on National Road No.10, aiming to ensure traffic demand in Tan An city.

In addition, the province needs to upgrade the national road 62 connecting between national road 62 and N2 due to the traffic overload.

Some provincial-level routes linking three Mekong delta provinces including Long An, Dong Thap and Tien Giang also need to be upgraded to develop the region’s social economy.

The province suggested the ministry assigns domestic waterway department to set up Tra Cu canal dredging project in hopes of reducing overload for the roads.

“The ministry should ask transport inspectors under road management department to set up the regulation in cooperation with the province transport inspectors to handle cases of illegal occupation of the traffic safety corridors on national road, passing through the province”, said Mr.Hoc.

Deputy minister Nguyen Nhat answered and instructed the departments and relevant agencies to cooperate with Long An province’s department of transport to solve the suggestions with aim at developing social economic in the province and region./.
