Looking back at the past journey when the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic began, the entire Party, whole army and all people of Long An have united – worked together, agreed to deploy measures to prevent and control the epidemic strongly and drastically in the province. Basically, we have controlled the epidemic, the economy has continued to develop, and people's lives have been ensured. This result is a evidence to the great faith, will and strength of the great national unity bloc.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of the province, I warmly welcome and commend the timely and active participation with all the spirit and responsibilities of all levels, branches and people, especially the frontline pioneering forces against the epidemic. I would like to thank the individuals, organizations and businesses that have trusted, supported and enthusiastically responded to the epidemic prevention and control work in the province over the past time.
In particular, it is heartwarming to know that many relatives and business community have voluntarily contributed to the food care for officers and soldiers at checkpoints, quarantine areas, and donated to the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund and the province's Covid-19 Vaccine Fund, etc., I respectfully acknowledge and appreciate all the affection and efforts of the forces, people and the business community in this tough fight.

Currently, we are in an extremely difficult time when the Covid-19 pandemic continues to increase rapidly and have a great and comprehensive impact on all aspects of the province's socio-economic life. As of 06 o'clock, on July 13, 2021, the province has recorded 764 cases; it is worried that the disease has outbroken into hospitals, factories, industrial parks and clusters, traditional market, that are important and crowded places, so it is easy to lead to rapid infection and difficult to control. With the determination not to break the production chain, soon bring a peaceful life to the people; the province issued Document No. 6619/UBND-VHXH, dated July 11, 2021 on strictly controlling epidemic prevention in the province. This is really a very difficult and unexpected decision, which has greatly affected production and business activities and people's lives. However, this is a very necessary and urgent decision to prevent and proceed to stop the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the same time, the implementation of social distancing makes it even more difficult for a part of the poor workers. The province has also been implementing expenditures to support workers according to Resolution No. 68/NQ-CP of the Government in a timely manner from July 12, 2021 so that "no one is left behind".

With the spirit of "fighting the epidemic is really like fighting the enemy, sacrificing short-term economic benefits to protect people's lives and restore sustainable production development in the long-term"; On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of the province, I urge all compatriots, comrades, soldiers and business community to unite together, unify the will and action, drastically and vigorously implement synchronous and effective measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic in the province. This is a tough, complicated and unprecedented fight, I call on every citizen and business to be a soldier, the most resilient and bravest anti-epidemic fortress. We believe that the spirit and mettle of the tradition of "loyalty, resilience, all people fighting the enemy", of the benevolent heart, "mutual solidarity, mutual love" will definitely rise up and become stronger than ever in each of us, even in difficult and challenging times.
