A special working group of the Ministry of Labor - War Invalids and Social Affairs works in Long An
As of October 6, 2021, Long An has provided support in the spirit of Resolution No. 68 of the Government and Decision No. 23 of the PM for more than 435,000 people from different groups of people, with a total budget of over 4 million 357 billion VND.
In addition to implementing Resolution No. 68 and Decision No. 23, Long An also mobilized many resources and well-performed social security activities in the locality.
Specifically, Long An provided support to 5,500 poor households, each household was supported with rice and necessary necessities; over 153,000 workers in inns in the province, each worker is supported with 5 kilos of rice and 100,000 VND in cash, and so on. Total funding is over 235 billion VND.

In the whole province, there are 86 children whose either father or mother or both passed away. The Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs organized many delegations to visit and give gifts, create favorable conditions for them to receive support policies.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee – Pham Tan Hoa affirmed: "Long An pays special attention to and actively deploys support packages timely and transparently. The province also mobilizes workers and employees to stay in the locality, commits to supporting the welfare package, gives priority to vaccination against Covid-19 to meet the requirements of reproduction".
Deputy Minister of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs - Le Tan Dung highly appreciated the efforts and results of epidemic prevention and control of Long An province as well as the initiative in directing and implementing support packages, ensuring people's life. In the coming time, he hoped that the province would continue to strengthen epidemic prevention work in the new normal, not to be subjective or lose vigilance. The province completes supporting the remaining groups of people in the spirit of Resolution No. 68 and Decision No. 23 as soon as possible. It ensures the stability of the workforce in terms of quantity, psychology, supports policy so that employees can stay at the workplace safely, etc.
As for the local issues proposed, the Special Working Group will record and report back to the Ministry of Labor - War Invalids and Social Affairs to find solutions./.
