Long An: 90th anniversary of Vietnam Communist Party celebrated

In an exciting and proud atmosphere, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Pham Van Ranh and delegates reviewed the 90-year tradition of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The birth of the Party is a great milestone in the history of our country's revolution, ending the crisis of guidelines and organizational leadership of the Vietnam patriotic movement in the early twentieth century.

Over the past 90 years, our Party has sometimes made mistakes or wrongdoings, but with a strong bravery, true humility, demand, the Party has always been trusted and supported by the people, and has led the Vietnamese revolution to overcome all difficulties and challenges, create great feats, and go from one victory to another.

In Long An, just 4 weeks after the birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam, on March 6, 1930, at Mr. Bo Tho's house, in Duc Hoa village, the first Communist Party cell of Cho Lon province was established, including 7 members were led by comrade Vo Van Tan as Secretary. From here, the outstanding children of Tan An - Cho Lon area stood in the ranks of the Party and assumed the historical mission, led the people in the province to win many victories in the two wars against the French colonialists and the US imperialists invaded and weaved 8 golden words “trung dung kien cong, tan dan danh giac” with its meaning of "loyal and resilient, all people fighting the enemy".

During the renovation period, under the leadership of the Party, Long An continued to make many breakthroughs. From a purely agricultural province, up to now, industry-construction, trade-services have risen strongly with the proportion of 50 percent and 34 percent respectively, the proportion of agriculture-forestry-fishery sector has decreased to 16 percent. Especially, with the 2019 budget of 18,243 billion VND, Long An becomes the leading province in Mekong River Delta provinces and cities in revenue collection. 

Along with socio-economic development, the work of building and regulating the Party and building the political system has always been paid attention by the Provincial Party Committee over its terms, creating innovation, raising the effectiveness and efficiency of the Party's activities towards serving people better and better. From the first 7 members of the Party cell in 1930, up to now, the Provincial Party Committee has 19 affiliated Party Committees with 570 Party grassroots organizations, 3,322 Party Cells under grassroots Party Committee and nearly 47,000 Party members.

Great achievements have contributed to transforming the face of Long An's homeland from rural to urban areas to change and flourish in the direction of civilization, modernity, material and spiritual life of The people are getting more and more advanced. Currently, Long An is rising strongly, becoming one of the active and effective members in the Southern key economic region of the country.

On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of founding the Party, in the atmosphere of pride and confidence, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Pham Van Ranh called on the entire Party Committee, people and soldiers, Long An compatriots and expatriates living abroad to promote the spirit of solidarity, share energy and heart, bring all our enthusiasm, talent and intellect, determine to make Long An province more civilized and richer.

At the Ceremony, the Secretary of the Youth Union - Vo Tran Tuan Thanh expressed his gratitude and gratitude for the sacrifices of previous generations. To continue the Party's glorious tradition for the past 90 years, the youth of Long An continues to strive to study, train and effectively emulate revolutionary action movements of the Youth Union, and contribute to the victory of implementing the Resolution of the Party Congress at all levels for the term 2015-2020./.
