Long An: Children's Forum participated by 150 children

Children present and send messages to adults at the forum

The provincial Children's Forum 2019 with the theme "Children and children’s issues" attracted 150 children from districts, towns and cities, representing 300,000 children in Long An province. 

At the forum, they presented 4 topics: Children - their study; children - fun and entertainment; children – children’s violence prevention and abuse, injury; children - the issue of children's participation in family, school and society.

Children raise their questions at the forum

Particularly, children also have direct talks with provincial leaders on issues such as children's playgrounds; children's rights; family violence, sexual abuse, etc. According to functions and duties, representatives of related departments, agencies and unions shared, explained and answered children's questions clearly. The problems that have not been answered will be solved by all levels and sectors in the future.

Provincial leaders give gifts to children

Deputy Chairman of the provincial People's Council - Nguyen Thanh Cang acknowledged and praised the results of all levels and sectors in the children’s care and protection. He suggested all levels and sectors to focus drastically and synchronously on solutions committed at the provincial Children's Forum 2019; to strengthen coordination in organizing key activities on children’s care and protection; promote education and communication to raise the awareness of the whole society about the importance of children’s care and protection; to regularly review and grasp the situation of disadvantaged children to timely intervene and help; to well implement support policies for children with special circumstances, and so on.

On this occasion, the provincial People's Committee offered 150 gifts to children participating in the forum, each worth 300,000  VND./.
