Long An detects 43 cases of trading fake, poor quality fertilizers

Fake fertilizers were tested and discovered by the Market Management Department

Among them, the Market Management teams under the Provincial Market Management Department detected and dealt with 7 cases of trading fake fertilizers, having no use value, utility and fining 233.9 million VND; 23 cases of trading poor quality fertilizers, fining 320.6 million VND.

Over the past time, the Provincial Market Management Department sent one case to a functional agency to investigate for penal liability of trading in fake fertilizers with no use value and utility, which was checked and discovered by the Market Management Team No. 7 in April 2019 in Vinh Hung district. The Provincial Market Management Department issued decision to sanction an administrative violation against the violator with an amount of 30 million VND; At the same time, the material evidence of 87 violated fertilizer bags of 50 kilos per bag was confiscated, equivalent to 4,350 kilos and forced destruction according to the law.

Facing sophisticated tricks in the business of fake and poor quality fertilizer, the provincial Market Management Department has issued a document to direct subordinate teams to check and control the market, especially the year-end occasion as well as the crop of the farmers. Accordingly, the Market Management Teams strengthened the management in the area, focusing on inspecting and controlling essential goods, fake and poor quality fertilizers and plant protection drugs to protect the legitimate rights of consumers./.
