In the afternoon of July 10, within the framework of the conference's activities, the Delegate Committee of the NA Standing Committee coordinated with the Standing Committee of Long An People's Council to hold a seminar on improving the quality and effectiveness of the Committees of People's Council and Office for advising the People's Council of provinces, cities in the Southeast region and Mekong Delta region.

The seminar was hosted by Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the NA Standing Committee, Head of the Delegate Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee - Tran Van Tuy; Deputy Head of the Delegate Committee, Standing Committee of the NA - Dang Ngoc Huy and Vice Chairman of Long An People's Council - Mai Van Nhieu.

At the seminar, Committees of the People's Council and Office of the People's Council or Office of the NA Delegation and People's Council or Office of the NA Delegation, People's Council and People's Committees of provinces and cities exchanged experiences on quality improvement on verifying the contents in the field in charge at provincial People's Council meetings; experience to improve the quality of supervisory activities of the Committees of the People's Council; participation in the implementation of accountability activities at the Standing Committee of the People's Council.

According to the Delegate Committee of Standing Committee of the NA, the organization of seminars aims to create a separate forum for the committees of the People's Council and the advisory and assisting apparatus is considered as an innovation in organizing the meeting of Standing Committee of People's Councils in the regions. Thereby, it attracts more participation of the delegates, listening to the opinions of the specialized delegates, those who are attached to, best understand the difficulties and problems of the elected bodies.

After the discussion, the Delegation Committee coordinated with the Standing Committee of Long An People's Council, gathered recommendations and proposals to present at the Standing Committee of the People's Council of the two areas on the morning of July 11. These recommendations and proposals will be answered and accepted by the NA Chairwoman and central agencies. On that basis, the Delegate Committee will synthesize and report to the NA Standing Committee for promulgating the documents to the competent agencies for consideration and settlement./.
