Speaking at the direction, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Minh Lam acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the agricultural sector over the past time, especially in the context of the complicated Covid-19 epidemic development. At the same time, he suggested that sectors and localities focus on implementing solutions to produce high results in the 2021-2022 winter-spring rice crop. In particular, it is strongly recommended that people sow seeds according to the seasonal schedule, pay attention to propaganda to reduce sowing sticky rice in the winter-spring rice crop to less than 30 percent of the total area; well perform the prevention and control of drought, salinity intrusion, and pest control on crops, livestock and aquatic products.

In addition, he also suggested the functional branches to strengthen the application of science and technology transfer, promote the implementation of the project on developing hi-tech agriculture in association with the restructuring of the agricultural sector; step up the transformation of crops grown on rice land to other crops with higher economic efficiency; focus on replicating highly effective models.

In addition, functional sectors need to strengthen inspection and check the establishments trading agricultural supply, ensuring the source of materials for agricultural production in the winter-spring rice crop 2021-2022./.
