On January 31, Long An Provincial Party Committee held a meeting with intellectuals, journalists and artists to celebrate the Party and celebrate the Year of the Rat 2020 with the participation of the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Van Duoc; nearly 140 intellectuals, journalists and artists in the province.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Van Duoc summarized the socio-economic situation of the province in 2019. Accordingly, most of the major targets of the Provincial Party Committee's Resolution met and exceeded the set plan.
The economic growth of the province reached 9.41 percent; GRDP per capita was nearly 73 million VND per year. The economic structure continued to shift in accordance with the orientation of industry - construction, trade - service, agriculture - forestry - fishery. Total state budget revenue was about 18,000 billion VND.
The socio-cultural field has had many positive results. The rate of poor households decreases to 1.5 percent, and near-poor households to 2.7 percent. In particular, in recent years, the province has been supported by the former State President - Truong Tan Sang, Standing Deputy Prime Minister - Truong Hoa Binh and Long An countrymen in promoting and calling for investment in many major and key projects; mobilizing businesses, sponsors to invest in transport infrastructure, build schools, gratitude houses and charity houses, to support clean water systems in schools and to donate breeding cows to poor households, etc. He affirmed that the achievements were contributed by intellectuals, journalists, artists in the province, etc.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Van Duoc acknowledged and praised the contributions of the intellectuals who have actively participated in scientific research and technical innovation activities, contributing to the development of the province. The journalists have timely and accurately propagandized issues to serve the province's political duties.
In addition, the artists have many composing and performing activities; won many awards at festivals, contests in the province, region and nationwide, etc.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee hoped that the intellectuals, journalists and artists would continue to dedicate their intelligence to affirm their role as soldiers on the cultural and ideological front; comprehensively reflect the activities of the province. The Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee directed agencies, units and local governments to coordinate well, proactively share and provide information to create favorable conditions for the journalists, press agencies and artists.
At the meeting, representatives of the intellectuals, journalists, artists also shared their feelings and beliefs in the new year 2020 with new efforts, full of creativity and many new successes./.
