Long An organizes 'National E-commerce Week and Vietnam Online Shopping - Online Friday 2023'

National E-Commerce Week will be organized nationwide by Ministry of Industry and Trade from November 27 to December 3, 2023 and the 60-hour Vietnam Online Shopping Program - Online Friday 2023 will start from 0:00 on Friday, December 1, 2023 to 12:00 on December 3, 2023. Participants are all organizations and traders according to the provisions of law.

Accordingly, Department of Industry and Trade of Long An develops a plan to organize the program in Long An province according to the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and implements the program "60 hours Vietnam Online Shopping - Online Friday 2023” on the program's website and applications. At the same time, the Department organizes programs in online environment with many incentives and experiences for products and services from manufacturing and distribution businesses, creating practical benefits for consumers across the country.

Communication has also been enhanced to let people and businesses know about the Government's policies and programs on developing the e-commerce market in Vietnam. The department has implemented propaganda measures to prevent, combat counterfeit and fake goods in the online environment, promoting consumers in recognizing and using genuine products, especially, supporting products made in Vietnam.

In addition, the program also strongly promotes the use of electronic payment, aiming to develop secure payment solutions in e-commerce as the foundation for building consumer trust in online trading.

The maximum limit for the value of goods and services used for promotion and the maximum discount for promoted goods and services is 100%. On this occasion, the Department of Industry and Trade also encourages traders to participate in the program, especially units producing and trading Vietnamese goods.

Accordingly, relevant traders, organizations and individuals proactively develop their units' implementation plans, organize promotional activities, coordinate to organize and participate in program activities to ensure compliance with current laws on promotion and the Law on Consumer Protection.

This year, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Department of E-Commerce and Digital Economy aim to reach about 1 billion views on the program's platforms, with 500 brands and 3,000 businesses participating in the 60-hour Online Shopping - Online Friday 2023. At the same time, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy will coordinate with partners who are e-commerce platforms to deploy many solutions to promote e-commerce development along with the protecting of consumer rights in the online environment.

Businesses and management agencies will share guidelines and policies of the digital ecosystem to protect consumer rights in the online environment; the role of delivery in e-commerce to build customer trust and build the image of a reputable Vietnamese e-commerce market; non-cash payment and its role in the digital ecosystem protecting consumer rights in e-commerce; secured payment model: trusted application for consumers, businesses and regulatory agencies; consumer rightsprotection in online transactions on e-commerce platforms./.
