Long An participates in workshop on introducing the investment environment in southern region

On November 1, Long An delegation led by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Minh Lam attended the workshop on introducing the investment environment in the South of Vietnam. The workshop was organized by the Southern Investment Promotion Center in collaboration with KOTRA HCMC Office.

Workshop to introduce investment environment in the South

The workshop is part of the Vietnam-Korea Business Week series of events on the occasion of 30th Anniversary of diplomatic relations establishment between Vietnam and Korea. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for localities to introduce the investment environment to Korean investors.

Currently, Korea is the 2nd country in terms of the number of projects and the 3rd in terms of investment capital in Long An with 210 projects, with total investment of more than 900 million USD. Some Korean enterprises have large investment capital in Long An such as Lotte, Cj Vina Agri, Songwol Vina, Hana Cobi, Simone, etc. Most of the investment projects from Korea are concentrated mainly in industrial developed districts of Long An and has contributed significantly to the development of the province.

At the workshop, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Long An province - Truong Van Liep gave an overview of the province's geographical location and development potential. At the same time, he emphasized that in the future, Long An will continue to break through and become the industrial center of the region. In particular, the province's goal by 2025 is to continue to maintain its leading position in the Mekong Delta and by 2030 to rise to become a province with a developed industrial - urban area.

The delegation worked directly with investors from Korea

After the workshop, the provincial delegation continued to work directly with investors from Korea such as O'Farm Food, AIRON Corp, etc on investment opportunities and supporting policies received when investing in Long An./.
