Long An pledges to accompany enterprises
On October 11, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long An province held a meeting with more than 500 entrepreneurs on the occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13).

According to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Tran Van Can, over the past time, the provincial enterprise community has been growing and integrating with the general development trend of the society.
To date, the province has attracted more than 1,000 foreign-invested projects with registered capital of over 6,149 million USD; there are over 1,900 domestic investment projects with registered capital of nearly 215,700 billion VND. Over 11,200 enterprises registered their business in the province with a total registered capital of nearly 290,500 billion VND. The whole province has 16 operating industrial parks with an occupancy rate of about 85.26 percent. There are 22 active industrial clusters with the occupancy rate of about 86.55 percent.

Long An is the leading province in the Mekong Delta region in attracting investment, industrial output and State budget revenues. The economic growth rate of the province is always quite high compared to the national average. In the 2016-2018 period, the province's economy grew by about 9.76 percent. In 2018, it increased by 10.36 percent, which is the highest rate in the last 3 years. The economic structure has continued to shift towards industrialization and modernization (industry - service accounted for over 80 percent).

In the first 6 months of 2019, Long An continued to make important breakthroughs, the province's gross domestic product (GRDP) was estimated at 39,679 billion VND (at constant 2010 prices); The growth rate was 9.89 percent, reaching a relatively good level in all 3 sectors. The situation of security, politics, social order and safety was stable.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Tran Van Can affirmed that the provincial leaders pledged to accompany enterprises with practical actions and solutions. The province also focuses on directing to have a strong innovation in state management associated with building e-government and improving the investment environment; maintains dialogues to promptly solve difficulties for businesses, and so on.
Over 11,200 enterprises registered their business in the province
The entrepreneurs in the province expressed their confidence as well as highly appreciated the working methods and the support of the authorities at all levels for the projects of investors. In the coming time, they will contribute their ideas to the province's socio-economic development strategy as well as accompany the province.
On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee honored typical enterprises and businessmen in 2018. Accordingly, 42 businesses were awarded the Business Gold Cup, Emulation Flag and Certificate of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee./.
