Regarding the working program, it is expected that the delegation will pay a courtesy visit to the Vietnamese Ambassador in Japan and the Vietnamese Consul General in Osaka. In addition, Long An will organize a number of investment promotion activities and work directly with Japanese agencies, organizations, associations, and large corporations in the fields of high-tech agriculture, supporting industries, high technology, etc that the province is paying attention to and attracting investment. The delegation will also survey and learn from a number of works, transportation infrastructure, modern urban areas, and healthcare project to research and apply for development in the province.
In particular, in the working program in Japan, the delegation will attend the "Vietnam - Japan Investment and Trade Promotion Forum 2023" in Tokyo on September 13, 2023 and the "Vietnam - Japan (Kansai) Investment Promotion Forum 2023" in Osaka on September 15, 2023 organized by VCCI in coordination with partners. These are two important events for the province to introduce and promote the environment and investment opportunities. Both of the above events are expected to have over 200 delegates who are business leaders, including many large Japanese businesses and corporations that are interested and looking for investment opportunities in Vietnam in general and Long An in particular.
Currently, Long An has received about 1,202 FDI projects with a total registration of over 10.458 billion USD. Among them, Japanese investors have about 142 projects, with registered investment capital of over 795.4 million USD, ranking 4th in number of projects and 5th in total investment capital out of 40 countries and territories investing in the province.
The investment promotion program in Japan is a activity in the series under the 2023 Investment Promotion Program of Long An province and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.
It is expected that after the trip, Long An province will continue to welcome a wave of investment from Japanese investors to research the market, seek cooperation and investment opportunities in the province, especially large corporations with high, modern, environmentally friendly technology, contributing to economic growth and sustainable development of Long An province./.
