Long An proposes to allocate more vaccines against Covid-19

In order to have enough Covid-19 vaccine to carry out vaccination, ensure coverage and create community immunity, the Long An People's Committee has just sent a document to Deputy PM - Vu Duc Dam for concerning and directing the Ministry of Health to continue to allocate more vaccines to Long An.

Accordingly, the province needs to supplement with 127.410 doses of Pfizer vaccine for the 2nd shot for people 18 years of age and older. At the same time, the province also proposed to allocate vaccines to organize injections for 392,000 people from 3 to 17 years old (in which, 168,000 people from 12 to 17 years old; 224,000 people from 3 to 11 years old).

The Provincial People's Committee commits to vaccinating the people in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health.

It is known that as of October 28, Long An has given nearly 2.7 million shots of Covid-19 vaccine to people aged 18 and older. Of which, over 1.4 million doses of the 1st shot (over 100 percent) and over 1.2 million doses of the 2nd shot (reaching over 85 percent of the population aged 18 years and older).
