At the meeting, on behalf of the province, Deputy Director of Long An Department of Planning and Investment - Tran Van Tuoi introduced the local potential, advantages and priority areas to attract investment. Accordingly, Long An's economic scale currently ranks 13th in the country and leads the Mekong Delta region.
Regarding attracting FDI capital, Long An has attracted 1,251 FDI projects with a total registered capital of more than 10.6 billion USD from 40 countries and territories. Businesses from Taiwan and the United States alone currently invest about 1.4 billion USD locally.

At the meeting, delegates introduced and proposed solutions to help Long An improve its position in the field of green growth and build a global semiconductor supply chain; at the same time, exchanging experiences of advanced countries in the field of planning and reducing emissions until 2050, mobilizing resources to support technological solutions, green credit funds, and policies to promote sustainable development.
In addition, delegates also advised on clean energy development planning in local industrial parks; selected a list of pilot industrial parks to implement clean energy development programs, responding to "carbon tax" regulations; built solutions to help Long An increase opportunities to attract investment in high-tech industries and semiconductor chips.
