Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Nguyen Van Duoc highly appreciated the contribution of intellectuals to the socio-economic development of the province
On implementing Resolution No. 27, Long An Provincial Party Committee has carried out Program No. 20-Ctr/TU dated November 11, 2008. Over the past 15 years, the Party committees and authorities at all levels have paid attention to leading and directing the implementation seriously, achieving positive results, creating a visible change in the awareness and actions of cadres and party members about the position, role and importance of intellectuals. This is a particularly creative and important workforce in the process of accelerating industrialization and modernization of the country and international integration.
The province focused on building and implementing a number of specific mechanisms and policies to support the intellectuals; training and fostering professional qualifications, political theory; ensuring democracy, respect; promoting freedom of thought of intellectuals; investing in facilities and work facilities and taking care of material and spiritual life. Since then, creating favorable conditions for the intellectuals to promote their talents and intelligence, and contribute to the development of the province.

At the meeting, representatives of provincial departments and branches exchanged information and explanations to clarify the opinions and contents raised by the delegation; especially in terms of intellectuals regimes, policies, remuneration mechanisms, honoring, etc.
Speaking at the reception, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Van Duoc emphasized the importance of Resolution No. 27. He highly appreciated the contribution of intellectuals to the socio-economic development over the past time and affirmed that the province will continue to perform well the tasks and solutions to implement Resolution No. 27.
At the same time, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also raised some difficulties in implementation of Resolution No. 27. In which, the capacity of the intellectuals is both lacking and weak, especially the lack of experts, policies, mechanisms and worthy treatment for intellectuals. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested that the State should have a policy framework and strategy on training, especially training experts so that the provinces can apply.
