The XIth Congress of Long An Party Committee, the term 2020-2025, took place from October 13 to October 16, 2020 with 350 delegates, with great success in accordance with Directive No. 35- CT/TW of the Politburo and Plan No. 116-KH/TU of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.

Documents submitted to the congress were prepared meticulously and carefully, through many steps of collecting opinions, especially collecting comments from the grassroots congress. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has received the direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat at the meeting to comment on the draft documents to supplement and complete the documents to submit to the XIth Party Congress. 

The work of preparing personnel for submission to the XIth Congress of Provincial Party Committee is concerned with planning review, assessment, transfer, rotation, assignment, and staff placement close to the personnel project; strictly follow the 5-step process of re-election and participate in the first time in accordance with Directive No. 35-CT/TW of the Politburo.

As a result, 52 comrades were elected to the Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, session XI, term 2020 - 2025 (of which, re-elected 33 comrades, participated for the first time 19 comrades, accounting for 36.5 percent, ensure over one third as prescribed); Thirteen comrades were elected to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025 (in which 5 members participated for the first time, accounting for 38.5 percent; young cadres under 40 years old were 1 comrade, accounting for 7.8 percent).

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Van Duoc emphasized that the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, session X, the Organizing Committee of the Congress have focused on leadership, closely and regularly directed throughout the process of preparing and conducting the Congress; promptly direct and resolve difficulties, problems and newly arising problems. The Departments of the Provincial Party Committee, the sub-committees, and assisting teams to serve the Congress have shown a high sense of responsibility, efforts and striving to well fulfill their assigned tasks.

About the key mission in the coming time, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Van Duoc requested that members of the Provincial Party Committee, Party Committees at all levels, affiliated Party organizations, the government, the Fatherland Front, the provincial socio-political organizations, especially the leaders of the localities and units focus, urgently, proactively and drastically implement according to the assigned responsibilities and tasks, ensuring the good fulfillment of the targets, tasks of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee in 2020. At the same time, they proactively advise the learning organization, grasp and concretize the implementation of the Resolution of the XIth Congress of the Provincial Party Committee, especially early the effective implementation of the breakthrough program and key works of the Congress.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 23 collectives and 45 individuals who had excellent achievements in serving the XIth Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025./.
