The provincial leaders through the ages; Vietnamese Hero Mothers; Heroes of the People's Armed Forces with 350 official delegates attended the Congress.

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Dynamicity - Development", after more than 3 days of active, urgent, serious work with the spirit of solidarity, democracy, intellectual concentration and responsibility, the XIth Long An Party Committee Congress, term 2020-2025, has completed its proposed agenda and contents.

The Congress determines the key directions, tasks and solutions for the term 2020-2025. Those are to build a clean, strong, lean, efficient and effective Party Committee and political system; promote the great national unity bloc; fully exploit the potentials and advantages of the province to promote economic transformation towards industrialization and modernization associated with urbanization; develop economy associates with the implementation of social progress and equity and protection of environmental resources; closely combine economic development with defense and security assurance, and intensify foreign affairs activities; improve the people's material and spiritual life; create a breakthrough for Long An province to develop rapidly and sustainably. By 2025, Long An will maintain the leading position in the Mekong River Delta region and it has strived to become a well-developed province in the Southern key economic region by 2030.

The Congress has identified 3 breakthrough programs, including high-tech agricultural development program associated with agricultural restructuring; program to mobilize all resources to build a synchronous transport infrastructure system serving the development of industry and urban areas in key economic regions of the province; and human resource training program to meet the needs of industrial and agricultural development of the province.

Three key projects in the term includes completing Ring Road of Tan An City; Provincial Road (PR) 830E (section from expressway intersection to PR 830); PR 827E (from Ho Chi Minh City to Vam Co Dong river).

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Congress, the new Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Van Duoc said that the XIth Provincial Party Committee Congress finished its set content and agenda with a positive, serious spirit and showing high responsibility to the Party and people in the province.

With the spirit of solidarity, unity, promoting democracy, maintaining discipline, the Congress has focused intellectually to discuss and vote unanimously through reports synthesizing opinions and contributions to the draft document to submit to the XIIIth National Party Congress.

At the Congress, delegates focused on analyzing, contributing and approving the Political Report and Review Report of the Xth Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to submit to the Congress.

Delegates vote to approve the criteria of the Resolution of the Congress

The Congress highly appreciated the achievements of the past term. Congress discusses and identifies goals, tasks, key solutions, breakthrough programs, key projects, creates a breakthrough for the province to develop rapidly and sustainably; By 2025, Long An has maintained the leading position in the Mekong River Delta region and strived to become a well-developed province in the Southern key economic region by 2030.

The Congress elected the Standing Committee of the provincial Party Committee, session XI, including comrades who met the standards, political qualities, morals and capabilities, met the structural requirements, ensured inheritance and continuity in the transition process of transferring the leaders of the Party Committee.

In the first session, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee elected the Executive Committee, Secretary and Deputy Secretaries, Inspection Committee, Head of the Inspection Committee of the Provincial Party Committee. The Congress also elected a delegation representing the will and aspirations of the entire Party and people in the province to attend the XIIIth National Party Congress.
