Long An supports businesses to participate in Ho Chi Minh City Export 2024

Ho Chi Minh City Export 2024 takes place from May 8 - 11, 2024 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center , Ho Chi Minh City. The fair is organized by the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with domestic and foreign units.

The fair is expected to be a lever for export businesses to grasp world market trends to achieve a breakthrough in orders and revenue.

Ho Chi Minh City Export 2024 will double in scale compared to 2023 and continue to focus on key export product groups including food and beverages; agriculture - fisheries; furniture; textiles, footwear, bags; rubber - plastic; electronics - mechanics; other service industries.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, the fair will create conditions for businesses to learn, access and innovate technology, improving long-term competitiveness; At the same time, encourage Vietnamese enterprises to participate in the global production, supply and distribution chain of goods and build close strategic cooperative relationships between Vietnamese manufacturing and exporting enterprises and foreign distribution system both traditional export and e-commerce channels.

At the fair, businesses can take advantage of the ability to access and learn about world market needs and trends, thereby selecting and developing appropriate development policies. This event promises to be a bridge and driving force to promote regional connectivity and economic development in the Southeast - Southwest regions.

Long An's products are highly appreciated by many export businesses

Participating in this fair, Long An Department of Industry and Trade, Long An Provincial Center for Industrial and Trade Promotion created conditions for 27 businesses in Long An to participate in displaying and introducing hundreds of products, especially OCOP products and industrial products which are the strengths of the province such as crispy dried fruits, cordyceps, vegetable and fruit powders of all kinds, plastic boards, wood-grain plastic boards, cabinet door blanks, decorative panels, composite door blanks, crafts, etc.

This is one of the trade promotion planning programs implemented by the Department of Industry and Trade and the Center for Industrial and Trade Promotion in 2024.

Director of Tan An Agricultural Cooperative - Lam Son Hai introduces products to customers

Director of Tan An Agricultural Cooperative (Can Duoc district) - Lam Son Hai shared that this is the first time his cooperative has participated in displaying and promoting products in Ho Chi Minh City. Currently, the cooperative has 4 bird's nest farms, with an average harvest of about 10kg of bird's nest each month. The cooperative has invested in a nest production line that meets food safety standards and is implementing procedures to achieve OCOP products. Coming to this fair, the cooperative wants to connect with many businesses to sell products to the market in Long An, Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces and cities.

Customers enjoy products made from environmentally friendly materials from Onbe Craft Green Production Cooperative

Director of Onbe Craft Green Production Cooperative (Duc Hoa Ha commune, Duc Hoa district) - Du Ngoc Huyen Trang said that the cooperative has just been established, specializing in producing and trading environmentally friendly products from grass, water hyacinth, bamboo, etc into bags, hats, sandals, backpack straps, and straws. The cooperative hopes to find partners to serve domestic product consumption as well as export.

Deputy Director of Long An Department of Industry and Trade - Tran Thanh Toan shared that currently, Long An has over 16,000 enterprises, including about 900 export and import enterprises, leading the Mekong Delta in terms of export turnover, contributing nearly 7 billion USD in exports and 4.3 billion USD in imports by 2023. Goods are exported to 110 countries and territories around the world, helping diversify export markets.

Coming to this fair, Long An Department of Industry and Trade wishes to continue to support businesses in promoting and finding customers and partners to develop export industries. Currently, Long An is focusing on developing multi-industries and high-tech industries, aiming to create even higher added value for export products as well as expand export markets./.
