Long An: Survey on producing disinfectant hand sanitizer from natural herbs
On February 13, Vice Chairman of Long An People's Committee - Mai Van Nhieu, headed the delegation to survey and grasp the situation of producing disinfectant hand-washing sanitizer from natural herbs (in Binh Phong Thanh commune, Moc Hoa district). The Director of the Department of Health - Huynh Minh Phuc accompanied with the delegation.

Currently, the company is focusing on producing 100-percent natural disinfectant hand-washing sanitizer extracted from cajeput oil with 3 types: Hand-washing sanitizer (must be washed with water after use), gel and spray dry hand-washing sanitizer .
General Director of Dong Thap Muoi Conservation Research and Pharmaceutical Development Joint Stock Company - Bui Dac Thang said: “100-percent natural disinfectant hand sanitizer was produced 2 years ago. These hand-washing sanitizer are produced according to the prescribed product standards and have antibacterial effects. In melaleuca oil, there are substances that can inhibit effects on bacteria and some viruses. Currently, the demand of consumers for disinfectant hand-washing sanitizer from natural medicine is high so the company increased production to keep up with the market”.

Through a field survey, Vice Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee - Mai Van Nhieu proposed that the company initially supported disinfectant hand-washing solutions for schools in industrial areas; fully prepared raw materials and pharmaceuticals for production. Since then, it joined hands with the health sector to prevent and combat diseases in the context of acute respiratory infections caused by new strains of Coronavirus (Covid-19) that develops complicatedly./.
