Department of Industry and Trade of Long An province announces its tasks in 2018
This year, the department plans to carry out its development tasks with specific targets such as contributing to the province's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of 9.4 percent, of which industry and construction sector would increase 14.65 percent; trade and services sector would surge by 7.1 percent; industrial production value (compared with 2010) will reach VND 212.500 billion; total retail sales and services will be VND 76,700 billion; 99.82 percent of households use electricity; total state budget revenue of up VND 8.8 billion; funding for local promotion up to VND 1 billion; trade promotion fund would reach VND 2.5 billion.
In order to successfully achieve the above targets, the Department will assign specific works for each member of the Board of Directors, specialized departments and relevant agencies.
Accordingly, the Department will continue implementing and announcing projects such as project for the provincial electricity development in the period of 2016-2025, with a vision to 2035; project of development of industrial clusters in the province by 2020; the Government's Resolution No. 19-2017/NQ-CP and the Government's Resolution No. 35/NQ-CP to improve the business environment and support the development of enterprises; implementing solutions to improve the provincial competitiveness index, international economic integration index; reviewing administrative procedures, amending and adjusting regulations with aim to improve the management capacity.
In addition, the department continues to monitor the production and business situation of enterprises, especially big enterprises and exporters of the province in order to timely propose solutions to solve difficulties of enterprises, promote production development; support the implementation of the projects be granted investment certificates; review and propose the provincial People's Committee on the handling of non-progressive and delayed investment projects in industrial clusters; timely inform and forecast on domestic and foreign markets; well implement industrial promotion and promotion programs to provide practical supports for enterprises to develop production and expand their consumption markets; encourage the development of rural industry; support the application of machinery and equipment into industrial production and implementation of clean industrial production program in the province./.
